Police Officer
This is a safety-sensitive position in the Springfield Police Department, exercising a high degree of discretion, trust and confidence performing skilled police work. The duties involve police patrol, criminal investigations, traffic regulation, related law enforcement activities and a wide variety of community services. Members in this classification work in partnership with the community to identify and resolve issues of concern, provide public safety service to the community in emergencies and maintain peace, safety and order. Members must be able to exercise considerable judgement, initiative and skill in a variety of situations and must be able to act without direct supervision in completing work. Duties are carried out under established organizational values, policies, procedures and the laws of the Town, the State of Colorado and the United States.

Lifeguard and Swimming Instructors
Springfield is accepting applications for lifeguards and swimming instructors for the 2021 swim season. Responsibilities of lifeguards and swimming instructors include swim instruction, recognizing hazardous situations and enforcing pool rules and regulations. Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification is required for lifeguards and Water Safety Instructor Certification is required for swimming instructors. Current CPR and First Aid Certification is required for all applicants. The Town will schedule these training's prior to employment.
If you are turning 15 years old by July 15th, the Town will consider hiring you as a fill in guard when you actually turn 15 years old.
Work hours vary and applicants must be willing to work 30 to 40 hours per week. Positions are open until filled.
